View Full Version : New tank living rock hitch hikers. Identification help.

I added sand water and rock on Friday. Last night I turned on a light after a few hours with it being dark and found the tank full of life. I identified most of it via web... but wasn't totally sure on these two. 360071360072

#2 probably aiptasia, undesirable anemone; 1 has no critter I can see.

It looks like a ball-tipped anemone in the first picture. The second one is an Aiptasia.

So looks like I should take out the aiptasia what is the thought on the corynactis ?

In most cases the ball-tipped anemones aren't a problem, but definitely keep your eye on it.

So looks like I should take out the aiptasia what is the thought on the corynactis ?
Both can be removed if you want..
Neither are really "beneficial"
Aiptasia are far more of a potential issue than the anemone IMO..
