I have had 2 fish go through TTM and now have them in 55 gal QT tank for the rest of their 8 week QT regimen. I picked up 3 new fish and am currently running them through TTM. Can I add the 3 new fish into the 55 gal with the original 2 after their TTM process is finished and still have the initial 2 go into the DT after their time is good or does the clock start over for all 5?

The 2 new fish should be cleared of ich so that would not be a concern for me. However, if the 2 new fish have something else then it is possible to infect the 3 current fish in the QT and ultimately carry over into the DT. If I was in your position I would either restart the clock or wait until the current batch are in the DT. Although ich can be a PITA there are much worse things that we do not want to enter the DT. Good luck just my 2 cents.

Thanks Tony. Will keep them separated until the DT. A 120 Dt, 55 gal Qt, (2) 10 gal for TTM and just ordered another 20 gal for QT. My wife was already calling our house a science project.

The time starts over if anything wet is added.
