I currently have a TUNZE NANO OSMOLATOR.

Does running SALT water through the ATO cause any damage?

My current water change process: Use a MJ1200 submerged with a flex tube into a 5 gallon container.

Then I just dump 5 gallons of saltwater back into the tank.

I have 20gl AIO frag tank. So when I pour 5 gallons of water in it distrubs the sand bed quite a bit.

I was thinking as an alternative, just stick the ATO pump into my 5 gallon water jug and slowly pump the 5 gallons back into the tank. This would take longer but less disturbance.

The only reason I can't use the MJ1200 to pump water back in is because the HOLE for my water container is too small to submerge the pump.

I tried to retrofit the pump with a tube to pump water from my container into the tank by running it unsubmerged but 3 feet of head way is too much apparently so it wont draw the water up.

I would just buy an external powerhead and run a tube into your 5g jug -- one that is actually supposed to run that way. It would take a hell of a long time for the ATO pump to pump 5g of water, and I would not want to run salt water through the same pump as my ATO because you will likely be introducing at least some concentration of salt to your ATO reservoir.
