How could this happen? Did the clown pair chase her in?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161030/1f895baeeb7b10885e3b990b343d15e6.jpg

Something was wrong with it otherwise it could have gotten away.

How long did you have the fish?

It went thru QT for 3 months and took about a few weeks to get it eating really good then transferred to DT with one of the clowns, had a roughy time in the DT for a few weeks with the old clown being territorial and wanting the tang away from the new clown but for the past several months seemed fine out and about and eating well.

Did you wake up finding him like this? Many fish go so idle during the night while sleeping that they fall in the wrong hands ;)

I would bet that it was sick, dying, or dead already and simply floated into the RBTA.

Also, I bet that nem splits soon after eating that huge fish.

It coild have been healthy..... I did a bit of research on this after my dumb kole tang got to close and got stung. Kole tangs don't live in the same environment with a bubble tip . So they don't know what it is and get to close and stung or made into dinner. I dont know how true this all was but it did make sense

To add what others have said, it also could've been spooked and just shot into the nem. Furthermore, I had a blue tang that thought it was a clown and followed my clowns everywhere -- even near my carpet nems. I think it got stung a few times and finally realized it wasn't a good idea to go near it. Maybe your tang didn't get the message.
