Hi Guys,

Just wondering if it's possible or has anyone kept multiple foxes…
I currently have a magnificent and am keen to add another foxface… like a one spot or just the regular yellow and black one.
Tank is a 150 with lots of room…
Likely to be aggression between the 2?
My Magnificent if extremely calm and kinda of dopey

Thanks

Well I do not know if my experience was unique or normal, but I had a regular yellow black foxface in my 200 gallon reef, and my girlfriend at the time surprised me with a magnificent. The first month or so no problem, they seemed to enjoy hanging out together. After that would constantly fight whenever they swam close to each other, most of the time they grazed on separate sides of the tank.

I have both a regular and a magnificent in a 150 gallon. I have had the yellow for a year before I added a magnificent. It started pretty poorly as bigger yellow would chase the magnificent into hiding anytime he noticed him. I had a hard time making sure the little guy had enough to eat. Slowly, he started venturing out at night when the yellow was asleep. A couple of months later they started getting along out of nowhere.

I recently had another incident of them not tolerating each other after I attempted to introduce a female melanurus wrasse, but a couple of weeks later they are hanging out together again.

Thanks for the responses guys.
the normal yellow i have my eye on is slightly smaller than my mag... so hopefully that will help as the mag is so calm... he's a bit of a dope and dont want him being bullied as i think that will send him in to hiding constantly...
will give it a try...

IMO it is unlikely to end well.

I agree. IMO, 150 is barely bigger enough for a mature Foxface Lo/One Spot.
