Hello everyone. I have a 24" cube that I have been running a 250w Radium over for awhile. I have a lot of real estate towards the bottom half of the tank. Is the 250w Radium too much light for LPS?

If so, would a 4x24 ATI Sunpower or 6x24 make sense? I do not want to go with LEDs. Thanks!

You should be just fine with the Radium

Thank you. What signs should I look for that they are getting too much light?

Just depends on each coral but most the time they will start to bleach IME. Colors will lighten and sometimes they will shrink and not want to fully extend.

I have had the best luck with my LPS when I feed them as well. Each coral can be different so research how each one feeds. I used to turn off my flow and feed my acans mysis shrimp. They loved it.

for a cube maybe even a 6 or 8 bulb fixture to get good coverage and can always turn a couple bulbs off if the par is to high or play with the light schedule.

I guess as long as the Radium isn't too much for LPS I'd rather stick with that since I already have it and heat isn't an issue for me.
