Upgrades

I'm looking to treat my 10 gallon to some new equipment for Christmas but have no idea what brands are any good, the only equipment I have curgently in my aquaclear 30 that has the filter sponge, carbon, and pellets. I'm looking to getting an auto top off (probably the jbj) a nano protien skimmer and a nano reactor. I would like to use them for my 10 gallon but I will be upgrading to a 40 gallon in 6 months, and I would like to transfer my equipment to the new tank, any advice appreciated

Depending on budget, a controller is useful for any size tank. I have a ReefKeeper Lite on my 25 and full Apex on the 75. Can't imagine a tank without one anymore. As far as ATO, a Tunze is working perfectly for me on the 25, replacing the DIY aqualifter setup. The Avast on the 75 is too big without a sump. All tanks benefit from that stability.
