Adding a 2nd Powerhead

I currently run a 6055 controllable in my 75 gallon (4 foot tank). I am looking to added a second on opposite side and sync them together to alternate flow. Would you recommend a second 6055 or possibly a different model like a 6095, etc? Tank is a mixed reef, mostly lps.

You really could use either, the 6055's should be fine though. I would generally recommend 2 6055's for a 75, but no reason the 6095's would not work, you would just turn them down as needed and the outlet is wider so while the flow is higher it is a little more gentle at lower flow rates.

is this the cable needed to sync two of the controllable 6055's together?

Should just plug from controller to controller, correct?

Correct, but the second pump gets set to External mode and basically slaves off the first in either synchronous or inverse (same or opposite).
