I always feel like there are deal to be had, but also people are selling some very overpriced stuff. There was plenty of selections and fun to be had, also the great raffles. Good luck!

Bring extra money, you never know what you'll see.

I snagged some NICE tabling pieces from Garrets Acropolis, and there was another shop with some great prices on Sticks -- Most of them are either not named, or the common "high end" stuff like Fox Flame. Whenever a vendor has one of those "This is a new wild piece, it's been doing this & this" I'm tempted, lots of wild pieces end up looking absolutely sick.

I walked away with 3 Mille's and a Yellow deepwater Lokani from the dudes with well priced Sticks. The Mille's were a Generic (but nice) Rainbow @ $15, One with Yellow corallites orange-red body & Red Polyps @$15, Lastly an orange mille that should turn into a copper color with white polyps on body and blue polyps near new growth $25. Lokani was free.

That millie with the Yellow Corallites and orange-red body keeps changing on them. They tell me they have been loving it and it's shifted colors A LOT depending on where they place it. They told me it started at a really nice mint green with red polyps and after awhile grew some yellow tips and orange-red body, then shifted to a blue-ish, and back to an orange.

I am ALWAYS down for trying a schizophrenic stick.

Someone is selling pinky-nail sized JF Beach Bum frags for $80, a few people are selling some absolutely sick Gold torches with Baby Blue tips or Purple Tips. RR has a stunning Orange Torch. Some better than average Fungia corals, all the fancy zoa's you could dream of (I never look at softies).

Legendary Corals has a few absolute Ultra-Ultra frags. They've got Dip n' dots SPS frags @300+, and most the people interested in them are the other vendors. He said at Macna he brought 15 frags from $300-800 each and sold 11 of them to other vendors before Macna opened to the public.

so many nice corals. If I have time I may go back at the end tomorrow to see what I can snag up..

I also bought the wrong ticket and toured the next door convention. It was crafts. I was like oh.. craft beer? nope. women's crafts. I was the only guy inside..

I thought I saw you but wasn't sure! You hold off completely on corals today?

I picked up a few pieces. nothing crazy. bleeding apple scoly, couple monti and digi. gave most of my money to John.. a few adjustable skimmer/rollermat stands. more heater racks.. added an APEX LSM rail and autofeeder box to the lid.

I also switched salt. Getting off of Reef Crystal and going with Fritz RPM salt now. Ordered 10 boxes. looking forward to that.

Meteor shower cyphastrea, mystic sunset monti, nice multi-colored zoas (nothing fancy) and pink/yellow millepora for $40
My son picked everything out except for the milliepora. Lots of nice clams, not sure of the prices, but a good selection. Very tempting.
I did see the new shadow ghost overflow (which I pre-ordered a while ago for my new 60g shallow build). Got a couple free T's from the BRS crew and took a selfie with my son and the guys from "Tanked". As my son put it, "the best day ever"
I wanted to buy more acros, but I simply don't have the room right now. My 22g is quite full.

I have already ordered my things and going to pick up. I will look around, trading a couple of my sticks with a vendor for their goodies, put faces to vendors names and meet up with friends and then drive the 100 miles back. I wish you remembered the name of the "dudes with the well priced sticks" lol

I'll text you when I'm there. You can walk me by your tank for the 151st time ;)

Dude, Unique Corals had the best looking purple Lokani I have ever seen in my life. It is now sitting in my nano along with a Purple Monster frag I got from them.

I had a good time. Worth the drive. Friendly people and mostly fair prices. Definitely saw some of the price gouging that bugs me about the hobby but I've come to expect it by now. Happy I went and will go again. And, no raffle wins for me tonight haha.

Here's my pick ups..

I didn't see it but didn't want to crowd in at their booth. I did buy a purple lokani from Age of Aquarium. It's a nice piece. Still want to find the 20k

I went for about an hour and a half. Went home with two nice sticks from AoA, a nice pink spath mini colony from House of Sticks ( this is my risky acquisition but I believed him when he said it's been going strong for six months and the other pieces he cut have all done well. It's fully encrusted a large plug has good PE and is a nice pink color. I have it at the top and about 3-4" from the gyre so getting high flow. Good PE so far) and a diabolic pacman and 4 Acans from Darrell. His booth had the nicest pieces overall in my opinion. Also brought home the acclimation box from Elite Aquatics and some frag stations from The Alternative Reef

Showed up at about noon and stayed till four, man were my feet tired by the time I was done. I had to make like 3 rounds before I could even start figuring out what I wanted. Picked up 4 pieces from Age of Aquariums and several other pieces from random sellers throughout. Was great talking to the guys from BRS, super friendly and you can tell that guy really, REALLY loves talking about aquariums. Overall a great event.
