I'm new to saltwater - not even at it a year yet but I did keep cichlids for about 20 years.
I decided to post here because I'm running into what would seem like contradictory info.
I've got a yellow tang with black spot. Didn't seem to have anything in the QT for three weeks. Moved him to the DT and about a month later saw the spots. I've read they are a flat worm. Flat worms feed, fall off and basically burst into babies. Gross. I've read that the best thing to do is to a freshwater dip. However, if they are already in the DT and can live on other stuff in the tank as I seem to have read about flat worms, won't the dip just kill the spots on the tang leaving conceivably a large number in the tank or am I missing something? I dipped mine twice , have a 6 line wrasse and a cleaner shrimp and the spots came back in larger numbers. So is it freshwater dip or prazipro?
thanks in advance
Scott
