So I'm not exactly new to the hobby but I am definitely less experienced than you all... I am upgrading to a 110 gallon aquarium from my 36 gallon. The aquarium is reed ready except I need a skimmer. What type of skimmer would be good for a 110 gallon? The tank has a sump I know but I don't know how much room I have for the skimmer yet, I don't even know how many gallons the sump is. This aquarium will be fish only with some inverts but no coral because I need to focus more on fish before I start a reef tank again. Another question I have is when you upgrade, can you do it all in one day and it act as a large water change? Or do you have to cycle the whole thing again? Also what fish can I put in it? It's a 5 foot tank and I was thinking some tangs along with dwarf angels and maybe some wrasses or something to go with my existing pair of clowns. Is there anything wrong? is there anything else I need to know?

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I have a few inverts right now such as my cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp with some snails and hermits... I used to have an urchin and I am thinking about getting another one for this new tank... any suggestions for other fish or inverts that are compatible with my current stock?

The struggle. Yes indeed. If you don't want coral then get an Anemone hermit. Zoidberg (rest his soul if he ever had one) was awesome although he hated creation itself. They make a great addition but they will devour feather dusters and the like.
