my ATO limewater is about 50 feet away from the DT (I use 1/2 " tubing). my dosing pump is beside the ATO container. the ATO works one an hour or so. Can I dose magnesium through the same tubing? Randy mentioned that you can't add Mg++ to limewater, however its not clear to me if the precipitation of magnesium carbonate is fast and will likely to occur in the tubing as well.

This very important- as I ran out of room in the stand for magnesium.

That precipitation happens so fast we might as well call it instantaneous. The only way I would share tubing would be if I could flush the tubing with water between the two.
