What is the best material/product to use in the cabinet where the sump is - little splashing and lots of salt creep. the cabinet is wood so it definitely needs some protection... thanks!

you can buy shower liner - The stuff that goes under your shower base / tiles and lower walls for a few bucks per foot at your local Big Box Home Improvement store. Very thick, will last forever.

Rustoleum makes a one part appliance epoxy paint in white, sold at Home Depot. It works great for this application. The white finish brightens the area, its hard glossy finish is easy to wipe clean.

I used FlexSeal inside. Good finish and seems to hold up well to impact.

I used truck bed liner. Just like the flex seal. Clean, tape, spray coat 1, pull tape. If necessary, retape for coat 2, (pull the tape while flexseal or liner paint is still wet).

+1 to pond liners. That's what I used. Than I ran white FRP up the walls to protect the walls under my tank. It also helped in holding the liner on the walls.

A 1" x 3" functions as a dam between the doors.
