I had a long tentacle and green bta but they both moved a lot but always around the same back corner of the tank.
In the end I had to sell them. Bta grew big, about 12" when fully inflated.
I was thinking about DIY a smaller tank to be attached to my sump purely for anemone.
What size is the min u recommend? Bta, long tentacle, gig, hads....

Tank wise you mean??
I will put it this comment in that.
If it can touch the sides it will find it and it will move.

I mean a separate tank but still using the same water as DT.

For a single anemone, a 24X24 inches should accommodate one well with enough room for PH. 16-18 inches high for rock anemone. If you want to keep sand anemone, then 22-24 inches high. Only Mertensii would grew to big for this tank.

thanks.
Just wondering on this....
Can I put a small Gigantea in a 12x7 (3 gallon) tank IF the tank is plumbed into DT so technically, its a 50G tank.
If I give it the correct flow and lighting, will it work since it doesn't need to 'swim' as such?

too small. How are you going to provide a lot of flow and not worry about the anemone cover the PH or the overflow?
