I recently moved livestock from two smaller tanks to one larger tank. I had a large snapping shrimp & shrimp goby in tank & a new Golden dwarf eel in a QT tank ready to put in the DT. I didn't know if the eel would be hurt my the large snapping shrimp if he poked his nose in the shrimps cave, so I put the shrimp & his goby in the sump to be safe.

I'm not to worried about the eel eating the shrimp because I gave the eel some ghost shrimp and it took him a couple days before he would even try one.

Anyone ever try these together or know if it would be safe for all concerned?

I think I would be more concern about the eel eating the shrimp.

I have read several threads with the little dwarf morays in tanks with different kinds of ornamental shrimps with no problems. On the other hand the snapping shrimp is a big one and is not shy about popping anything that comes near his caves, except his goby of course.

My sump/refugium has lots of rocks to dig under so the shrimp is happy/busy in there but I feel a bit bad for the goby because he is the only vertebrate in the refugium.
