We just moved our biocube to our new place about 6 weeks ago. Everything has been growing fantastically! About 4-5 weeks ago our red BTA split and both halves are ginormous and happy. and about 3 weeks ago I noticed that the toadstool coral had a hole towards the outside edge. I did a few quick searches with no real answers to what might be going on. I figured it was just dropping part to spread? Not even sure if that's what they do. The other day I then noticed on the opposite site another hole! Any ideas as to what is going on?

What your seeing is just a form of reproduction.

Sometimes when you can't get lucky you just have to tear yourself in half to reproduce.

Looks very healthy, your doing something right. Like everyone said, just its way of reproducing.

Fascinating and great picture as well. I have seen it happen in friends tanks but never in my own.

My toadstool did that - but mine was very large and it was caused by flow!.

I would cut it up and frag the pierces or let nature do it naturally. - Nothing to worry about
