Hey Reefer,

Been a while since I posted and asked a few questions.

Just figured I give you all an update on how my tank is going after 5 months.

Everything is going well all parameters stable.

MG 1350, cal 450, Alk 10.0. Nitrates 10 and po4 0.03.

I currently have a yellow tang, 2 clowns, 2 bartlette anthias, à blue eyed anthias, 1 benagaii cardinal, 1 green chromis and a green mandarin.

I have lost a red ruby scooter (not sure if he's hiding in my sandbed) haven't seen him in over a month.

Corals I have 5 different Zoas, 3 were just tiny 3-4 polyp frags and are now 20+ . I have a massive torch, hammer, 4 different acan, 1 brain, 1 maze, 2 anemones, 1 favia and 1 acropora.

Pod population is great and Chaeto is growing like crazy. Harvesting a basketball size every 4 weeks.

I'm loving the hobby and my wife wants to freeze my bank account. Lmao.

Oh I ended up changing my DIY overflow pipe to 2 1300 which are working great and cut my noise down by 80%. Just need to figure out how to quiet my skimmer now.

Here's a few pictures let me know what you all think.

That looks outstanding, congrats! Can you please let me know when you started dosing for calcium and alkalinity?

I started about 2 months in. I don't actually does calcium and alkalinity. Rather I use Kalkwasser in my ATO.

As long as magnesium stays above 1200 kalkwasser will maintain your calcium and alkalinity at its current levels. For a low to medium demand tank that is.

I test MG every other week and dose it on the same schedule.

Water changes are bi-weekly as well. About 30%.
