Hello !

Well its being 21 days since I started a QT procedure (will last 80 days since my DT has velvet).

I seeded the tank with water from the DT in the beginning and being using clean water for water changes, I also used some sponges from the DT to get bacteria in the filter.

The problem is that Im having ammonia way to high now (near 1.0 ppm) even with 60% water changes the ammonia dosent seem to go down (tested water an hour after a water change).

I cant seem to find a way to lower it.

Im using copramine and prazipro in the QT...

PLease help me out.

THanks in advance !

Using cupramine your options are really limited to water changes. DO NOT use prime or other similar ammonia locking products, this will create a toxic soup. Make sure to clean out any uneaten food after feeding.

Oh, and CP is the treatment of choice for velvet.
