We are moving soon. I have a 210g reef that i would like to locate the 75g sump in the basement. Ideally would like to set up a fish room that is offset from the display against the wall. I estimate this to be 20ft away from directly below the display. Is this a reasonable project or do I need to keep it directly below the display. The basement ceiling is 10ft and add another 6ft to get to the top of the display.

Any suggestions on pump size and brand/model are greatly appreciated.

You can put the sump wherever you want, each 10ft or so of horizontal pipe will equal another foot of head pressure. So if you have about 16 feet of vertical head and 20 foot horizontal it will be roughly 18 feet head pressure, if you have a few 90's in there call it 20 feet. Lots of pumps out there that will handle that pretty easily, you will want roughly 800-1400 gph at that head pressure for that tank size.

Iwaki makes a great pump. Mine lasted 10 years.
