What does it mean if a haddoni isn't sticky as before?

Just talking about its tentacles.. He used to be really sticky when I got him 5 years ago.. He's only sort of sticky nowadays.

Mine does not even grab food sometimes if it is not hungry. I had a pea size shrimp fall on it and roll off it with no reaction.

Granted I noticed a fish missing not long after that too.

How often do you feed it?
