My green star polyp stopped coming out and when I touched it fell off the rock I had glued it to. My cauliflower coral isn't looking good either. I found this one the rock with the GSP on it. I assume it is the culprit. Can you identify it and make a suggestion of how to eradicate them? I'm sure there's more.

Just an amphipod. Not a problem. If GSP isn't coming out either the light is inadequate or the water is really bad. Give me your salinity, temperature, alkalinity for starters.

Some species of Gammarus Shrimp, common, and beneficial. They will feed on dead or dying corals.

You need to be looking for something else...

salinity= 1.022, Nitrates=20, trying to get that down, nitrite=0, Alkalinity=180ppm, Ph=8.4, temperature=78, calcium=440
My kenya tree is doing great, as is my candy cane and Duncan coral.

1.022 salinity? That's low. Bring it back up to 1.025-26 for corals to be happiest. Bring it up slowly by topping off with saltwater instead of fresh water.

It might be a pest issue still. I would go check the tank at night with a red light. It might be a crab or nudi.

My zoas are doing well either.

Your 180 ppm alk works out to (the preferred scale is dkh) a dkh of 10-something. That could come down a little, but is not a problem.

What kind of lights do you have... If everything else seems to be fine.. I have 3 different pieces of GSP.. Each one likes different locations in my tank.. The biggest piece if i put it in direct current or right under lights up high it will NOT COME OUT.
It likes lower light and not direct current. Another piece if have Loves the current right on it and top of aquascape dead center under lights .Zoas are similar ..

So move them all to the sand bed and see what changes taking notes until you find there happy home.. This is only a guess as to what could be the issue. IF Your water is in good shape..
