Something.growing.next to my brain?!

Hello everyone. I got a.chuck of Florida live.rock with a nice carribian rose brain (I think?). And after 6 months or so I noticed what I thought was a dead skeleton of some kind d of coral was growing back in. Now that it's bouncing back it seems to.be having a chemical battle with the brain. Any ideas what it is and what I should do? Also there is a weird green tube like plant growing on the rock as well anyone know what that is also? thanks!

Maybe some sort of favities or a goniastrea or leptastrea ?

I'm not really sure about the macro algae though. You might have to let it grow a little more before we can ID it.

Thanks for the link! The coral looks like the Lesser Starlet Coral. I will do some research on it
