Hi All

Im about to build a 1100mm L X 900mmW x 450mm H shallow reef.
Looking at keeping a mixed reef with minimum fish. Maybe 4 fish and a shrimp.

Attached are some photos first attempt at the aqua scape. I will do a tank journal a little later on. Still about 3 months away for getting my tank. It will be rimless ultra clear glass with overflow building into side of the tank.

Im thinking of BB again so I can have decent flow for the SPS but after I did this I think I might be able to put sand down as nothing will be on the sand bed.

Size or rock area is 700mm x 700mm

Any suggestions would be appreciated

What would be cool is drill a hole through the center, or glue them offset. So what you could have is multiple shelves in different directions for coral placement and shading. My opinion, shallow can have really fun builds

Cheers, the centre rock is 1 piece, just had to cut the bottom flat.
Do you mean have large pieces come off this centre rock?

I would leave half the room up top for corals and growth.
