Hey Everyone,

As always we're bringing some cool new stuff to the hobby, this time int he freshwater and planted tank realm! These sleek new LED lights are easy to set up and program, and have innovative, never seen before motion sensitive controls, so you can program your light with a wet hand without fear of dripping on the light!

Nice looking fixture Logan. Glad to see a new one. And I have 2 questions for you.

1) Do you think the spectrum of this fixture would be good for a refugium?
2) Do you think the .3 and .5 watt leds will penetrate a 24" deep tank with enough PAR for macro algae? Or is this meant for shallow planted tanks?

It's a bit fancier than many people may want for their refugium, but then if it works, it's in the same price as the less expensive led fixtures that have 2 channels and dimmers. And for those of us who have fancier display refugiums, this could be really cool.

1) I don't see why not, they are built to grow plants!
2)For macro algae, yes, they make up for the low wattage with quantity of LEDs. I will take some par readings when I get the chance
