Ok so a little background on my tank it is a 120 gallon 48x24x24 It has been running now for 10 months. The last 3 months my tank has looked the best but just last week this problem began.

Parameters:

Nitrate - 0 (RedSea Kit)
Phosphate - 0.04 (Hanna Checker) Also running BRS High Capacity Carbon 24/7
Calcium- 500 (Salifert)
Alkalinity- 9.8 (Hanna Checker)
Magnesium- 1450 (Salifert)

I also run Passive Carbon 24/7 (BRS Rox) change out every 2 weeks
I do a 15 gallon water change every friday with Reef Crystals Salt.

Now there is virtually no algae on my rocks or my glass. Just on the rocks closer to the LED lights i have some algae that the Turbo snails make work of. And some on the sand bed and 1 spot of what i believe to be Cyano.

Now in the past week i started getting this stringy brown stuff that is only in a few spots but is irritating the hell out of my corals. I blow it of and it is back in the same spot the next day. ere is some pics can you help me identify it? Wondering if it is Dinos.......

This is the one patch in tank i believe to be Cyano

These next pics are the stringy stuff that when blown off is right back in the same spot next day.

So you can find the stringy brown stuff in all the pics. Can you help me ID This and lead me in the right direction to get rid of it.

give it time. if u maintain good water parameter, it will go away eventually. 10 month setup really isnt a long time. a good clean up crew helps too.

Just use a red slime remover such as Chemiclean. I used to be against using these types of remedies, but they really do work and don't typically harm corals.
