This beautiful Blueface angel is still at the local fish store. He was eating everything the owner put in the tank. Only thing is he had this spot on his eye. Doesn't really look like a scratch but more of a parasite maybe. The owner is going to treat him and call me when he's ready to go. Any idea what this could be?

Has the fish been thru any meds since it has been at the LFS? It could be a wound but that doesn't seem likely. Doesn't really look like flukes either

Not that I'm aware of. The owner said he'll remove him and treat him for the next week or so. I was worried it was a fluke. I'll try and go back in a few days to check him.

Usually flukes are opaque in color and oval shaped but that doesn't mean what is in the picture isn't a fluke since they are commonly found on the eyes of fish they infect

Good news. The owner of the store texted me yesterday and said the blueface is ready to go. I'll head that way and hopefully he'll be coming home with me.
