First off, I would like to say that I am by no means complaining about this but I got a fruit loop zoa polyp from my lfs today and it has not closed. It has been open through the car ride and even when I transported it from the bag to my tank. It almost looks like it is glued open, like there is glue on the stalk making the coral stay open (if that makes any sense). The lights are out and it is still open. Is this normal?

He should be fine. My zoas were like that too. In the bag they weren't closing even if I touched them.

What good would that do? No need to irritate the coral without reason.

To the OP, open coral is a good thing and they can not be glued open. No need to worry.

I guess it was kind of a dumb question but thanks
