I was wondering what others have their Kessil's Intensity set too in relation to the height of your tank. I read somewhere that the color spectrum is deceiving as the blue makes it look less bright than it really is to the human eye.

Model - A360we
Tank height - 18"
Light above water - 8"
Intensity - 60% at "Noon"

I had the lights at 80% but when I changed my Aquascape and moved the corals higher up and I lowered the intensity. Most if not all the corals were on the bottom half of the tank or sand bed.

Is this a new light over a old tank?

I think mine is about the same height but I will double check later. Intensity at the highest for a few hours is 62 %

I'm 6-8 inches off the water in a 24" deep tank, ramp up to 80% intensity.

A360we, 8 inches off water, 100% for 9hrs a day.
I had this light for a couple years now and I think it sucks.

Intensity: 60
Color: 80
Height: 9 inches off water
Tank Depth: 27"
Closest coral to surface: about 12" below. So 21" below the kessil

Any higher intensity and my LPS was burning.

I'm starting to agree with you. Why did you think it sucked? I've been using them for two years now. My soft coral is growing like crazy. Most of my LPS is growing well, although not as well as under my T-5. Some LPS I can't keep alive. My SPS that was growing very well under my T-5. started well with the a360 but then died. All subsequent tries with SPS die pretty quick. Water is great with all specs in line with SPS needs.

For everyone who commented, how is your coral growth and what are you keeping?

I'm lazy when it comes to water changes but lately I've been doing weekly 10% and regular coral feedings. All my los seem to be growing more now.

I guess you really need feedings light and good water to get everything to grow good.

AP700 15" from surface on a 22" deep tank. It has the slight diffusion lenses installed. I peak for 5 hours at 70% and spend the rest of the time at 30% or ramping (total of 10 hours).

Depends on nutrient levels. I'm currently fighting a tough algae issue and I'm using the dreaded gfo again. 60% intensity for 6 hrs with lowered phosphates.

My single 360 WE is about 8 inches from the surface. Not sure exactly on height of a 40 gallon breeder, about 16 inches? Anyway the intensity is like I said above. I think my color is maybe close to 50 % I keep mostly montipora with a yellow/ greenish acro as well as zoanthids, pink birdsnest. Growth is slow.

Mine are about 6" off the water in a 16" deep tank. Lights ramp up to 100% for majority of the day. Mainly SPS. No issues, if anything, wish I had better growth.

A360we 9 inches over water, tank is 16" deep. Currently maxing out at 40% intensity for a couple hours. Will be bumping up to 45%

a360we, going up to 51% for a 9 hr period. Set about 8" off, tank depth 22".

I know I need more, and I am working on increasing int, but doing it 1% a week.

2x A350 over a 24" cube. I ran them at 60% power, or so, for several months. I've been backing them down to about 30% (each) and I've noticed better polyp extension on all corals and no detriment to growth rates. My zoas look better with less light (not shrunk up) and I'm getting less algal growth.

Overall growth is slow under these lights. Adding T5s to the mix on my 120g really helped pick things up, but i don't have the room to do that on my 60g now. I"ve kicked around running MH again, but I also want blue supp on that set-up, so I'm not in a better position there.
