View Full Version : Mounting Mitras!

I was looking at how to mount the Mitras light besides the Hanging kit and Mitras Mount. Both options for me were not really an option. I like how the other brand has a really nice mounting arm that sits on the rim of the aquarium and makes their kit look aesthetically pleasing. So I did a DIY using a kit I found. Hope to help someone that has my same dilemma.

Is there a parts list so I can do this?

Looks like the Giesemann VerVve Mounting Arm.

That's the one.

what else did you use in order to mount them?

Because of the photo bucket linking problem the pictures can not be seen. Is there a way to fix that? I would like to see how you solved the problem of hanging several Mitras from a rail.

I was able to do this with the Vervve mounts as well. All you need is to drill a small hole in the brackets and use their spacers (2 on each screw). You'll need a longer screw which you can get at Home Depot:
These photos should show you how but one of them is misleading. I actually used 2 spacers and the longer screws, the reflection makes it look like 3 were used :)
