I have a 180 gpd spectrapure with manual flush valve. Originally bought a 90 GPD and an installer added a second membrane of 90 gpd more. I pulled the Flow restrictor out It is a white tube with green tip that the installer brought along. it is about four inches long.
Q1) Is this the right length or should I be cutting it back to one inch... I get a lot less than 180 gpd of good water, maybe 25gpd.
Q2) How much good water should I expect to make ( I do have a pump on the system and pressure is very good).
Q3)After replacing all four cartridges and with old two membranes, the TDS rdgs on the output are a about 4 from first 2 canisters and zero after the two DI canisters. Are the membranes still OK or what is best indicator to use to determine, to replace or not to replace the membrane...
Thanks for your input

Q1) The green tip flow restrictor is the one to use. Do not cut it.

Q2) I have to know the REAL water water temperature - sink -> glass -> thermometer. Also, the pressure on the membrane pressure gauge and the flow rate of both the product and waste waters as milliliters per one minute.

Are the membranes plumbed properly together as shown on page 2 of this manual?:

http://spectrapure.com/manuals/PBK.pdf

Q3) The readings that are 4 from the first two canisters are actually TDS before (IN) the membranes and TDS after (OUT) the membranes. If thats true, then the numbers mean you have perfectly fine tap water with a TDS of 4 and the RO membranes are doing nothing but passing along that great TDS=4 tap water.!?!?

Are you sure the flush valve is closed?

OOps I cut it to 2 inches from four inches? What length should it be. Your publication says for 180GPD cut to one inch length. I am confusedand appreciate your input on actual length needed and thanks .. I ordered new restrictors to have on hand anyhow

Can provide now the pressurte : Without booster pump P= 35 psi and with pump = 80 psi. Am running with pump on to fill reservoirs of 130g and without pump for Top off to DT
... Are the membranes plumbed properly together as shown on page 2 of this manual?: I have a flush system so my setup is quite different from the show diagram

RDS are great after changing all four cartridges and are as follows: (11-12>> 003) then (000>>> 000) . I may have placed a micron and a 0.6 micron cartridges in first two canisters.... Does this imply that the membranes are good and that I do not really need the last two or the last one cartridge.
Will check on temp which maybe around 50 degrees and on flow rate next and many thanks
Are you sure the flush valve is closed?
YES

Q1) I will tell you if you cut it too short when you tell me the REAL temperature (I bet it's colder than 55 deg in MA right now) AND the two flow rates.

Q2) 80 pis is good.

Q3) Your tap water is 11-12 ? That must be by far the best water in the country!

I hope there is a sediment filter and a carbon filter in the first two housings. I can't tell from only a "micron" description.

Thanks Scott and You Are Correct First rdg is more like 120 not 12 Thanks and T = 46 degrees F ( I am, in Illinois). Need to measure flow next
Local Professional Installer did the installation of the Spectra pure and hoses maybe of correct colors or not ?? not sure as he seemed to have run out of some hoses ( three years ago).. But system has been working fine Just using too much water
First two cartridges are sediment and carbon filters. Here are pictures of my system.

Good pics, need some more of the top mass of connectors and both ends of the top housings . Doesn't look quite right from what I see here.
