Identification help!

I have very recently started with my marine tank. I've been gifted this coral (see photos) and I'm not 100% sure what it is. I have found a photo of what I believe it is. If any one can help with the identification and its care needs I would be very grateful.

Also I'm not fully aware of the etiquette of this forum so if I you could point me in the right direction to say hi, that would be great as well.
