Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie and purchased my first few corals at a frag swap this past weekend. All LPS.

My tank is 24 x 20 x 19 tall. Currently I have the acclimation on ecosmart live set to ramp from 20 to 30 percent over two weeks using the coral lab LPS program.

Is this a good starting point or is it too low for my tank size? I don't have access to a PAR meter. Currently the acans are in the sand bed and I have a candy cane placed deep and an elegance and frogspawn placed high.

Thanks,

Eric

How are you corals reacting? I am trying to find out the same.

What lights did you have before?

I have never had corals before so no previous lighting. So far corals seem happy. Lights prob at 25 percent intensity as i doing a acclimation ramp from 20-30 over two weeks.

Anyone have any experience with this? Again this is a LPS/soft tank only and 19 in deep. Standard RMS mount. I've read of people here burning sps with xr15pros at 35 or 40?

As I asked before, it depends on prior lighting. If corals were under a less intense light source, then gradual acclimation is required; if they were under an intense light source before then no acclimation may be required. If you are unsure of the prior conditions, then better safe then sorry. Also depends on water depth.
