I have a nano tank. Display is 24x12x12 with a few rock islands.
I saw a nice maroon clownfish at my lfs and I want to keep it with a cherub angelfish I plan to get. Is this doable in my tank size? The Maroon on will be about 1.5 times the size of the cherub.
I did have an issue with fish lately about aggression and a hawkfish but right now my tank only has a cleaner shrimp in it.
Thanks guys!

Personally I would avoid a maroon in that size tank. Perhaps try another type of clown if your set om getting one.

I agree. The maroon may become too aggressive in that size tank. IMO, I think they need a 70 gallon or bigger. Also the angel will require a bigger tank.

IMO stay away from Maroon Clowns. They grow too big for that size tank. The last one I had started as a cute 1" and in four years he was 5" and beat the cr_p out of every tank mate in a 55 gallon. His territory was only about one foot in all directions but God help any fishes fins that crossed the line. Gave her to a friend to use for breeding.

Such a nice lightning maroon too for 60 bucks. Too bad he'd outgrow my tank.

I have a hard time deciding which one is a more evil fish. The maroon clown or the cherub pygmy. :)

Either one would be alone at this time. I'm just hoping the next angel I get isn't a nipping terror. I'll keep him fed well.
