Noisy 6208 Wavebox

Anyone any fixes for a noisy wavebox? Have had it for a while and just love the performance of this kit, just perfect in my small peninsula setup. Only thing is that the pump is noisy when it comes on, i had thought these were near silent? Could it be that a new pump/impeller is required?

How old is it and what is the noise? There will be a noise from the water surging in and out of the box, but there should not be a loud pump noise.

I posted a reply earlier and it didn't go through I guess.

The pump is not assembled, the back motor half needs to be connected to the propeller housing, by the noise I am almost sure this is what is wrong, the back half is loose so the propeller is hitting the propeller housing.
