My tank is the IM 25g Lagoon so I tossed them in the rear filter compartments.

I'll bump this thread in a few weeks to see how it's going...

Out of interest.. Did u start using this because of an issue u are trying to resolve or just to supplement your existing regime?

I had never heard of them.
Someone in the industry happened to send me a bottle for free.
But glad they did because I have struggled from day one with various algaes in this tank, especially cyano.
It needs all the help it can get. lol

Lol...That's pretty much why I'm willing to try this.. exact same issue with brown algae on my sand bed constantly.

My levels always test good and I can't find out what's causing it. I've cut back on feeding, turned down my lighting schedule, installed a reactor with rowa, weekly water changes including gravel vac but just can't seem to beat it....

bacteria in a bottle is now bacteria in a slow release gel ball...

When I first saw those (quick glimpse) I thought they were just another type of "bio-pellet" but they aren't it seems..

Are you familiar with Tapioca Balls from Vietnamese tea houses?
Exactly what they remind me of.

Looks like the "Hydro Gel beads" used in those "newish" air fresheners..

Hi Reefers

Any followups done on The Bacto Reef Balls?

Can anyone comment on results achieved from using them?
