I've posted about this fish before. Not sure when the earliest post was. A long time ago. I was much younger.

Last spring (2016) I though Marylin was reaching the end of life. I was accepting, as she was 26 years old.
When she recovered, almost back to her old self, I jokingly said to my friends that I had witnessed her going through menopause..... two weeks without eating .... lethargic.... just as if on the brink of death.
I "spoon" fed her tiny particles of cyclopese. Slowly she regained her strength, and got back to her old self, a veracious eater. What she did not do, at least as observed by me, was to lay an egg nest, which she had done every month (28 days?) for over well over a decade (15 years?)
So tonight, for the first time in over a year, there is an egg nest in her cave!!!
The "little guy," " a great dad", himself about 14 years old, is guarding the nest with all his ability!
So what I though was menopause ..... I was wrong. Marilyn, in her 26th year, is still in her prime!
I'll try to post a video, but figured this comment, for the record, was more important.
And the adventure continues ....
