View Full Version : How do I attach powerhead without magnet?

I've got a 6' peninsula tank, so 3 sides are all just glass, which I love and don't want a power head on to blocking the view. The fourth side is against a wall, so I can't get to the outside of the glass.
I want to put a power head on the side against wall but most (including the Jebao I want or even a Tunze) use magnets either side of glass to hold them in place.
Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to attach them to the inside of the glass?

(Suction cups sound dodgy)
(Can't use vortechs as the motor is even on the outside)

Probably need to get crafty with some plastic brackets or something..

You can't place the magnet inside the overflow?
And what about a closed loop? It's possible?
Send some pics for better understanding.

Slief modified his old closed loop system to hold Tunze pumps. Assuming you have a canopy, you could make a PVC frame with pump mounts that extends into the water.

You can see the concept here (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1783476) in the 4th post, but was done with a different powerhead at the time.
