I switched over from MH to LED's at the beginning of the year and so far so good, but I was just curios how long some of you have been running these lights for without any problems? (the 165 watt fixture in particular) I'm hoping the one I have will last for years on end before it needs to be replaced, but for the price I paid for it I'm kind of skeptical. Thanks. :)

Well.. My Ocean Revive has been going strong for 5+ years..
In general they should last just fine..

I still have my DIY LED from 10+ years ago and its still working just fine too...

I would expect years out of the mars aqua too..
Sometimes cheap is cheap.. Other times cheap just isn't overpriced :)

I had EverGrow IT2080 (same as Reef Breeders Photon 32" V1) for almost 6 years and only switched because I changed tanks and they didn't fit the new one. But they were working just fine. Basically the same leds and guts as all the Chinese black box leds.

The issue will be more about rust than light. The stainless is too cheap and some of the stuff inside the box isn't stainless and it really rusts, like the small bolts that hold the fans and drivers in place. But the light from the leds was still good PAR levels.

Sounds Fishy

I have had 2 , 165 watt units running about 18 months approx. No issues, seems dependable, and reasonably priced.
