I would like to switch my bulkheads over to sch 80. Does anyone know if I can do that, or am I stuck with standard sch 40 bulkheads? The tank is 180 gallon marineland/perfecto with corner overflows. Both are currently setup to use 1" PVC.

Generally you have to go down a pipe size with SCh80. So a Sch80 3/4" fits in a Sch40 1'. Not sure why you'd want to though, there's really no reason to need Sch80.

If you are wanting something different, take a look at the reef octopus sch 80 bulkheads (They sell them on coralvue's website.) The 1" ones fit in the same size hole as the black abs/sch 40 ones. I switched to them because of the excellent seal they provide. Instead of the crappy washers like most bulkheads have, these use seated o-rings and are just a much better bulkhead overall, imo.

Why do you want sch80 bulkheads?
