Hey everyone,
First post on Reef Central. I've used this site religiously to research my new tank build and feel infinitely more prepared having used all of your knowledge and advice.
Had a simple question and feel I may already know the answer but wanted to present this to you all and get your thoughts.
I just started the cycle with my Reefer 170 using the Red Sea Reef Mature Pro Kit yesterday (3/16) and also have a 10 gallon quarantine tank I'll be setting up simultaneously. I already have the filter media in the sump to hopefully gather beneficial bacteria during the cycle so that it may be ready to go when the Reefer has completed its cycle, but I'm looking for any possibly way to have the display tank usable before the Reefer is cycled?
Reason being that around the 2 week mark I'll want to add a few different snails to the Reefer to start my CUC, but I'll want to QT them first, ideally.
Okay, done with the novel and I hope what I'm asking is clear. I appreciate all of your time!
