I'm in the process of a new build that separates my den from my formal living room. After researching pumps for quietness and affordability I'm thinking about the Reef Octopus VarioS-6 for my submersible return pump. Can anyone throw a link for the wire that will connect the pump to my apex? Is there an inexpensive purchase from Amazon or Home Depot or Lowes instead of the "premium" you normally pay from an aquarium supply outlet?

But its just an RJ45 and 3.5mm stereo jack if you want to roll your own..

Premium as in overpaying for a standard cable you can get from a generic store like the ones in mentioned above. I purchased kessil a360's and subsequently purchased their cables for a ridiculous amount when I could've just bought generic ones from a store like radio shack...

It's not a standard cable, unfortunately -- and $12 isn't really that bad.

You are correct. I wasn't sure what connections were needed. Once I got the link and saw what I needed I did a search and saw I'd save about a buck fifty doing it on my own. Just going to purchase the one from the link above. Thanks.
