Outer Space Psammacora question

Ok here is mine, definitely doesn't look purple like the pic i found below. My pic is under white lights but even under blue it looks more brown. Any ways i notice what looks like little furry things coming out of it, is this normal? Does everything look to be ok with it? Haven't seen to much growth but it has grown a little.

it's as low as it can go almost touching sandbed in a 2 ft deep tank. LED lights only at 40% blues 20% whites at high point in the day. Doubt a light issue.

I wouldn't doubt light issues until you've tried putting it in low light, as in on the sandbed in the shade.
