Calling all Tubers.

I have switched to a ATI Dimmable 8 bulb fixture over my 75g Sps tank. I was wondering what some of you experienced users were running par/photoperiod wise. So far the colors of my corals are wonderful but my growth isn't quite there dispite the fact my parameters are quite solid. Its not terrible but not quite the benchmark other users seem to be achieving. Currently im running the fixture 8 hours total with all bulbs on for 5 hours. Im getting around 700 par a bit above halfway down the tank and 800-900 at the surface and 350 on the sand. I believe so at least didn't do a check in a while but i will double check soon.

Please any and all info and experiences welcome.

Oh and Pics!

How deep is your tank? Seems like a lot of PAR! I have 6-bulb over 36 x 21 x 21" and I run 2 bulbs for 13 hours (half hour ramp on/off) and all 6 bulbs for 7 hours (half hour ramps). I get just over 500 PAR on my highest Acros and 250 on the sand.

This is what i dont get. I have an 8 bulb fixture over a 10 inch deep frag tank. Couple inches under the surface im only at like 350 par.

What fixture? What bulbs?

May want to start another thread though so we don't hijack this one.

To the OP,

I have always found that growth tends to coincide with available food. What are you nitrate and phosphate readings?

How big are your corals? It takes a long time for frags and nubs to start to grow, but then they take off after they get golf to baseball sized and can grow really fast once they get as big as a football or volleyball.

Some are baseball sized or just under and some frags aswell. Im comparing to growth that ive achieved in the past aswell.

Your PAR value is much higher than mine. I'm running ati 8x54 8" over a standard 90. 200 par on the sand bed, 550 just under water surface. Also have an xho led strip.

4 B+, 2 C+, 2 actinics. All bulbs on 4 hours, actinics on 12 hours, led on 4 hours. This pic is from a couple months ago.

Tank looking great. Yes i have raised up my fixture to about 10 inches now im getting 550 on the surface and about 300 on the sand. My photoperiod much similar to mykas. I noticed that my Alk consumption went up right away i must have been getting photo inhibition.
