Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I figure it gets most traffic so I'll try. I have one of these units, and up until recently have sworn by it. I'm having some difficulty getting a cnsistent reading and knowing the importance of a stable specific gravity I'm a little worried because I don't really have a back-up. I've tried recallibrating with water (RO and tap) at different temperatures and also washing the lens with windex as was recommended by a fellow reefer, but I continue to get readings that swing from 1.025 to 1.029. Anyone experience this also, and figure out the cause?

I see that on mine sometimes so I never count on it anymore and always back it up with another meter.

Mine came with 1.025 calibration fluid as well as a 1.000 calibration fluid. I use it basically weekly when testing new batch of water prior to 30G change. I reset with 1.000 sample and then test 1.025 to verify. Then test my sample. Haven't had any issues. Have you called their tech support?

Good luck
