Ok above is a picture of my frogspawn. I have had it for 5 months. When i originally got it, it fully opened for the first 2 months. Started on the sand bed (Fully opened) Then i put it a little higher the the Purple Hammer you see in pic Medium Light, Moderate flow) and was fully opened for about a month and a half in low to moderate flow but then was all down hill from there. In the last 3 months I've tried the sand bed again (Low Light Low Flow) left it there 2 weeks did not open. Tried (Moderate light, Low Flow) did not open. Now it is where it is in the pic on sand bed even less light and low flow. The 2 hammers right next to it in pics do great. CONFUSED.

Tank has been running exactly 1 year.

The Frogspawn gets thick arms throughout the day but only comes out as far as in pic.

Parameters:

Alk- 8.6
Calcium- 430
Magnesium- 1400
PH- 8.2
Salinity- 1.026
Temp- 78
Nitrate- 3ppm
Phosphate- 0.030

I dose BRS 2 part to keep alk, calc, and mag stable.

Does it look like it is dieing? I have 41 corals in my tank between zoas, softies, LPS and SPS and they are all doing great just the one frogspawn does want to open ever. The only other option is up high with high flow and i have ReefBreeders Photon V2's for light i believe the coral would cook. Or maybe in a very far corner with very little light and absolutely no flow.

Any ideas........

frogspawn is very sensitive to water params something may have spiked. the other issue is you may have mistaken a spilt for stress started moving it around this will most definitely cause stress as you move it up and down. put it back up there and leave it alone if you're messing with flow and light on regular basis that can cause alot unwanted stress. out of all the Euphyllia's frogspawn is the grumpiest watch your params
