Is this tank water the same as phyto? Is all green water the same? Or does it have to be examined under microscope to confirm? I want to try keeping rotifer https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170331/2fbcd23e67aa7a3a3b74f447644f2e90.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170331/ec8d2be114db3313e2117c88008eaa3f.jpg

There are many different types of green phytoplankton and all have different nutritional profiles. To determine what type or types of phyto you have, you would have to use a microscope.

Thats assuming that your water is actually green and not just green algae on the glass.

Even if this is nanno, there could be predatory copepods in that water. Just get frozen nanno, repackage it in ice tray cubes, and you are good to go.
