So I have a reef system and I'm thinking of doing live foods but I don't know what to feed...I've heard brine shrimp and white worms are good but what else can I "farm" and feed daily??

Blackworms are supposedly a great live food. They can be found online by the lb, and they can be kept alive in a dedicated fridge type setup.

I'm not sure about the parasites, but sometimes my LFS will get a batch of live black worms that will just look awful. I tend to stay clear of these. I've seen a lot of freshwater fish (Discus in particular) that have been fed black worms exclusively because of their reluctancy to try other foods and they just don't look very healthy at all. Same goes with Oscars that are fed a diet of live goldfish. Don't get me wrong though these worms can be a great treat sometimes, but be careful.

They are freshwater worms and are kept in freshwater, so I would be surprised if they were to carry any pathogens that would infect your sw fish. If you keep a batch of them, the system does need new freshwater often to avoid fouling.
I think there are some members here that keep blackworms. Hopefully they will chime in.

^This. I feed my fish live black worms and LRS everyday and supplement them with either a cube of Mysis, Brine shrimp or whatever I happen to have in the freezer. The fish go crazy for them as soon as I drop them in the tank. It's a good food to use to try and get finicky eaters to eat, most fish can't resist the wiggling and movement. I have a Copperband in qt that makes a beeline to them and gobbles them up, all the other food he'll pick at, but the worms he goes after with gusto.
I have a worm keeper that I keep them in that goes in the fridge. Everyday they need to be flushed with fresh RODI water to keep them healthy. I bought the keeper with the first order from aquaticfoods.com, but I've been fortunate to be able to get the worms locally now. I make sure to always have worms for my fish, IMO it's one of the best foods to feed them.
