The local Petco had this just come in and it's about 8" wide with alot of tentacles. It's just listed as "anemone"

It looks like a green bubble tip in a less "perfect" shape. It looks like under stress now.

So I went back in today. He was still there.....kinda. He was inverted and flat as a pancake. Foot was good, barely sticky...and better yet no necrosis going on. I have been wanting to use my few extra bottles of Cipro and I have a HT running and waiting to be used. They wanted $50. Gave them $10. When I say he was in bad shape, I mean BAD. I have taken a few pics of him during the acclimation. He looked worse than these pics in the store. Within 3 minutes of dosing the Cipro, he started to close his mouth. Hoping the lil guy pulls through.
These pics were taken before I had to come into work. Mouth was still closing more and more, but he was ejecting mucous, so I'm sure I'll have to change the water tonight. Hopefully more pics to follow.

I hope you're right. The siphonoglyphs were different and the tentacles are larger at the end. No lines on the oral disc.

Forgot to ask.
What makes it clearly?
Still trying to figure this stuff out. Lol

It seems a lot of identity is based on foot coloration and dots and other patterns on the under side of the anemone. In yours case.....it's the bubbled tips, lol.

Thank you. Like everyone else has said before... This is an emotional rollercoaster. Looks good....looks bad...repeat. I feel terrible that this poor lil thing sat in the store, for however long, with SO much nasty stuff hanging out within it. It's only been a couple days though. So I'm we're not out of the woods yet.

Yeah usually takes 5-7 days of treatment for a bad infection for the nem to stop deflating

It doesn't take longer, the bigger the anemone, does it? Can't imagine since humans are on the same cycle. This guys foot is bigger than my fist.

Just an update. It's definitely a mag. He's ending day 7 of cipro. Sadly he's going to have to find another home. He's every bit the size of a dinner plate

I have a few from days 3- 6. I have more at home on the DSLR. Here's what I have here on my phone. For whatever reason his purple isn't showing at all. It wasn't until, I think, day 6 that he started getting Mag treatment. I was treating him like a bubble tip. The rock I put in there was probably like a pebble to him. His foot was so big he'd end up hanging off and finally end up on the bottom. I upped the flow and he came to life.

From what I can see of the column, I would say BTA, not mag.

I gave him to someone that had adequate space, lighting, and flow. Space being the one variable I didn't have. He made it through Cipro. I helped acclimate him in their 210. For about 24 hours, he was kinda unsettled but ended up at a happy 45° angle. I don't have any recent pics. I thought he was big in my HT, but he is ridiculously large. There is NO way he would've been happy in my 30. I fell in live with helping these delicate creatures. I'm torn. Do I buy more to ensure their survival or do I leave them be, so Petco doesn't order more? I guess I shouldn't get emotionally attached, but I swear they have personalities.

Yes keep doing like you did on that anemone and send it over to me the next time, I have a nice home for them.
