hi , i have a DOC 9410 in my system, which is circa 820 litres... i have been struggling to reduc nutrient levels just lately and some advice i have been given is that my skimmer is too small and should upgrade...now i have a DOC 9012 not being used,,,is it possible to and worthwhile to run both skimmers in my system ???...

You can try it, I won't say there will be no benefit but the benefit will be limited, generally with two skimmers one is a clear winner and gets the waste first, the other may catch some of what is missed and they may take turns but consider it a 10-25% improvement and not a doubling of performance. The best course would likely be to upgrade the 9410 with the bigger cup 9015.140 and run the pump at maximum air flow and supplement the filtration with bio pellets.

thanks for the response... i have also been advised to put silphos into the outlet filter sock of my 9410.. will this help to reduce phosphates??..

Yes, that will help, any GFO media will do a fairly good job of removing phosphates.
