Witch do you prefer?

I been using ESV 2 part for years and now for 3 months or so I'm using AquaForest 3 part.
Seems that it takes a lot more dosing with AF than it did wit ESV
I'm dosing 220ml with AF vs 96ml with ESV for the same levels.
Plus the coralline algae just stopped.
Water parameters are :
Alk 9.6, Ca 425, Mg 1440, but where did my purple stuff go?
To get the coralline to go again I had to add Kalk in my top off.
what are your thoughts?

My Tank :
93gl cube sps dominant (23 pieces mostly frags)
125gl total with sump (Eshopps R-300)
I use the refugium area for 2 AF reactors
#1 has 4 cans of Life Bio Fill
#2 has 1 can of Zeomix, 1 can of Carbon and 1/2 a can of Phosphate Minus.
Flow is about 100gl/hr
TUNZE 9430 skimmer (That thing is amazing)
ATI T5 8x (4 blue plus - 2 actinic)
Bought that fixture for my next tank (72x24x24)
Check out my build ;)
Full APEX controller.
Tunze 6055 2x for flow.(I have the Apex WAV kit, simply too strong for this tank.)
Return pumps are 2 Sicce 3.0

The discipline is :
I feed my fish one cube of P/E Mysis once a day just before lights out.
Change the sock the next morning.
Feed the corals every other night around midnight.(AF Phyto Mix).
W/C every week 10% (AF reef salt).
I keep my gear real clean (OCD is showing a bit)

Fish are :Copper band,Tomini tang,Yellow Tang,Six line wrass,Yellow wrass,
2Highfin gobys,Gramma,WhiteTiger,Yellow eyed blenny.

(all my pics look like crap with the T5)

No takers? I think both systems should be fine. The AF might be less concentrated than the B-Ionic. Is the cost per ml about the same?

20 cents less for AF if you buy the jugs and 60 cents if you mix .

Well, it should be easy to do the cost comparison.

Seems you have to dump a lot more of it in the tank for the same results...
Still,why no coralline ?

You might need to seed the tank with coralline that will grow under your lighting. I managed to kill off my coralline in one tank when I added much brighter lighting. The coralline strain or species in my system didn't do well with that much light.

There's a lot in the tank already ,it just stopped growing .
Some new base rocks I added were covering nicely until I switched over to AF.
Same little patches for months now without any growth.
I use to have to scrape it off my sock holder rim and now zilch, no more.
Seems to me that coralline doesn't like AF.

Maybe your all was/is too high? I think with aquaforest you want to keep it at around 7ish.

The alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium levels are fine for coralline, so I'm not sure what's happening in your tank. Coralline also will need fixed nitrogen and phosphate to grow. Maybe there's a nutrient issue. Has the lighting faded? Bulbs tend to fade over time, which can make a big difference.

Phosphate is low but the nutrient lvl is high in my tank
got to clean the glass every day.
I've got regular bubbling of certain types of rock surface algae during the day .
The lights are a couple of weeks old switched to T5 from leds but the growth stopped while the leds were over the tank.
Par is between 320 sand lvl and 666 surface of the water.
It's not just my tank my a friend of mine has switched to AF 3 part on his home tank and he works in a reef store the main dissplay of the store is about 575gl with the sump
and has been started off clean with AF 3 part with all the other products just like we did and there are frags in there for months with coralline on them but yet nothing else has coralline ...
None on the glass, filter, pumps, nothing nowhere.
125gl mine ,my friend probably has around 60gl and a 575gl. at the store
the systems are full AF.
No coralline.
